Frequently Asked Questions
- Q.Are your cavity sliders for standard door sizes only or are they made to measure?
- A.All of our systems are custom made to your required size. We hold stock and make units to suit a standard door size e.g. 2040 x 820mm or custom make to suit a large opening on-site, however they all go through the same manufacturing process.
- Q.Are your products guaranteed?
- A.Absolutely! Our products are manufactured by highly skilled production staff and we back our quality of work 100%. Contact our staff to view a copy of our warranty conditions.
- Q.Can you supply the door pre-finished to our requirements?
- A.Yes - if we are manufacturing an alusealed unit (aluminium jambs) or an aluminium door then it will always come pre finished either anodised or powdercoated. Note some powdercoat colours are subject to a premium colour surcharge.

- Q.Home improvement stores stock cavity slider frames what is the difference between yours and theirs?
- A.The Quality. Our units are unique in the way we construct them using aluminium joinery and extruded aluminium tracks. Depending on the brand you compare, as there are different levels of quality and standards within the market. All of our units are the highest quality available - they need to be because you do not want a cheap product installed inside your wall! We also offer a written 10 year warranty on all of our units and workmanship.
- Q.How much do your frames cost?
- A.Prices vary according to your door type. Our spacemaker units are kept in stock to suit standard door sizes and cost less than $300. The cost increases depending on your door size and type as the bigger you go this increases the structure of the frame. Hardware must also be considered in your costings.
- Q.Is there a guide through the floor of the door opening?
- A.There are no visible floor guides on any CS Cavity Sliders systems, allowing the floor coverings to run continuously through the opening. Most doors will need to be grooved for the t-guide that sits inside the base of the cavity frame.
- Q.What are your manufacturing lead times?
- A.Frames to suit standard sized doors are kept ex stock and are available for next day delivery and or same day collection. Pending the level of customisation to suit your requirements, custom units take approx. 7 - 14 business days to manufacture. If you need something faster just ask!
- Q.What are your payment terms?
- A.We accept Cheque, Eftpos and Internet bank transfer. A 30 day trading account can also be applied for by contacting our friendly staff and following the account application process.
- Q.What are your units made from?
- A.Our cavity frames are manufactured from high quality extruded aluminum and high grade renewable timber resources.
- Q.What door thicknesses suit your systems?
- A.We recommend 35-38mm thick doors for most of our systems. Multiple OvertakingDoors units are best used with 38mm thick doors. If your door is 40mm plus in thickness just ask for our Ultimate cavity slider system which can accommodate doors up to 68mm thick!
- Q.What is the maximum door size that your systems can accommodate?
- A.Generally speaking we can supply a cavity slider to suit any door size. For massive doors that are over 4m high and 5m wide please consult us as we have solutions available.
- Q.What is the maximum weight your carriages and track can take?
- A.A pair of single carriages will take 90kg. If your door happens to be heavier we have heavy-duty carriages available to suit doors up to 240kg or if your door is heavier still, step up to our M10 (500kg) carriage series.
- Q.What size studwork do your frames fit into?
- A.Most standard units will suit 90mm studwork. Overtakingx2 units require 140mm framework. Overtakingx3 units require 190mm framework. Ultimate units require 120mm framework. As you know we are the experts so if you have a strange stud width and a large project we can help you out.
